Program Modules

The Real-World Money Program is a 6-week interactive financial literacy program designed for high school students (grades 9–12). Each session combines practical lessons, real-life exercises, and post-session challenges to ensure students learn by doing.

  1. Money Reality Check
    Understand the real cost of living and how to manage expenses beyond high school.
    Activity: Build a personal budget from a realistic starting salary.

  2. Banking & Budgeting Mastery
    Learn how to control money, manage a checking/savings account, and differentiate between needs vs. wants.
    Activity: Create a working personal budget and practice adjusting for unexpected costs.

  3. Credit & Debt Survival
    Understand credit, credit scores, and how to avoid early financial mistakes.
    Activity: Credit consequence simulations to see real-life impact.

  4. Earning Smarter
    Explore income strategies, career options, and ways to increase financial opportunities.
    Activity: Compare career paths and salary outcomes to make informed decisions.

  5. Taxes & Adult Expenses
    Learn about taxes, bills, and other hidden costs adults face.
    Activity: Break down a paycheck and plan for all monthly obligations.

  6. Saving & Wealth Building
    Develop long-term financial habits and understand the power of saving and investing early.
    Activity: Set personal financial goals and simulate future growth.
